Summary: This role involves overseeing and coordinating multi-disciplinary construction activities for a major CALM Buoy Project, ensuring safe and efficient execution of fabrication, assembly, integration, commissioning, and installation activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for adhering to project requirements, HSSE standards, and schedule commitments while managing various teams and construction interfaces. The position requires strong leadership and technical guidance to resolve challenges and maintain productivity throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise daily construction activities associated with CALM Buoy fabrication, assembly, integration, testing, and commissioning.
  • Manage multi-disciplinary teams across structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, marine, and offshore construction scopes.
  • Review construction methodologies, execution plans, work packs, priorities, and project schedules.
  • Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved procedures, project specifications, quality standards, and HSSE requirements.
  • Coordinate construction interfaces between engineering, procurement, fabrication, logistics, installation, and commissioning teams.
  • Monitor construction progress and develop recovery plans where required to maintain project milestones.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to supervisors and contractors to resolve construction challenges and maintain productivity.
  • Oversee Mechanical Completion (MC), Punch List management, Completion of Work (COW), and handover activities.
  • Identify and mitigate construction risks, ensuring safe and efficient project execution.
  • Coordinate inspections, audits, and quality verification activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Manage contractor performance and ensure alignment with project objectives, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Prepare progress reports, highlighting achievements, risks, constraints, and recommendations.
  • Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Marine Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Additional certifications in Project Management, Construction Management, or Offshore Installation are advantageous.
  • Construction experience within the offshore oil & gas industry.
  • Supervisory or superintendent capacity on major EPC/EPCI projects is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience on CALM Buoy Projects.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication, integration, commissioning, and offshore installation activities.
  • Experience managing multicultural workforces and international contractors.
  • Previous project experience in China, India, and/or Nigeria is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in fabrication yards, offshore construction sites, or marine installation campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of Mechanical Completion (MC), Pre-Commissioning, Punch Management, and Handover processes.
