Pay Rate: £39,690.93 Grade: M Contract Type: Secondment - 6 months Shift patterns: 4 On 4 Off - Earlies 4am - 4pm and late 2pm - 2am Location: Bristol, BS48 3DY

PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within an Airport. You will be required to under-go Security Vetting Processes ( including a criminal record check and counter terrorism check ) if you are to be successful for this position.

DHL work in partnership with easyJet at Bristol Airport to provide all ground handling within their Bristol operation. No two days on our Aviation contract are the same! You will play an integral role in the ground handling operation, working to tight timeframes but delivering fantastic results.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • Full accountability to the Operations manager for Health & Safety issues, operational and financial performance of their shift.
  • Planning resource allocation in each business unit for their shift.
  • Routine liaison with customer representatives.
  • Liaison with internal and external customers and agencies.
  • Producing routine reports.
  • Supporting the development of the business units with accurate and timely project work.
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal and external operational and administrative requirements.
  • Planning resource allocation in each business unit for their shift
  • Perform as a mentor to other employees
  • Required to attend the mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines as per job role
  • Provide training to employees in accordance with Company and Airline standards
  • Complete investigations and report compliance to the Sr. Management Team.
  • Handling of all employee related issues, focusing on improving performance, professional conduct and ensuring attendance reliability.

  • Must excel in time management skills and require minimal supervision
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Advanced Computer Skills Required
  • Organizing and planning skills, with the ability and initiative to react effectively and quickly to unexpected circumstances
  • A working knowledge of GSE maintenance issues.
  • Understanding of the wider airport operational environment.
  • Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation.
  • Experience of Health and Safety management.
  • Hold a full driving license

SECURITY PROCESS TO WORK WITHIN AVIATION AND TRAVEL AT DHL

  • Be able to provide 5 years address history
  • Be able to provide 5 years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
  • To obtain a full airside ID
