Summary: The role of Power BI Developer involves supporting the design and delivery of analytical and reporting solutions for a public sector client. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports aligned to business needs
- Translate user stories and acceptance criteria into effective reporting solutions
- Build and optimise semantic data models (including star schemas)
- Collaborate closely with Business Analysts and Data Engineers
- Improve performance through query optimisation and model design
- Manage and deploy content via Power BI Service (workspaces, pipelines, access controls)
- Apply data governance, documentation, and version control standards
- Support testing, validation, and defect resolution
- Contribute to user adoption through demos, guidance, and support materials
- Ensure solutions are accessible, secure, and aligned with organisational standards
