Summary: A leading Professional Services company is looking for a Cloud Engineer to work on a contract basis with a prominent financial client. The role requires strong expertise in GCP and AWS, focusing on logging, monitoring, and inventory management. The position involves enhancing cloud visibility and automation across multi-cloud environments. The Cloud Engineer will be required onsite in Glasgow three times a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement and maintain logging, monitoring and inventory management solutions across cloud platforms.
- Develop automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Develop scripts and tooling using Python and Shell Scripting.
- Support cloud engineering activities across AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Drive improvements in cloud observability, monitoring and operational reporting.
- Manage and optimise containerised workloads where required.
- Work closely with engineering and platform teams to improve cloud governance and operational controls.
- Support cloud asset discovery, inventory management and configuration management initiatives.
Key Skills:
