Cloud Specialist - 1 month Contract - £425/day Inside IR35 - London Hybrid - SCC FLEX CONTRACT

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Specialist with strong Azure platform expertise to support, maintain, and optimise an enterprise cloud environment. This is a hands-on role focused on cloud infrastructure, automation, security, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable cloud services while driving continuous improvement and best practices.

Your responsibilities as a Cloud Specialist:

• Support, maintain, and optimise the Azure cloud platform.
• Manage and monitor Azure infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance.
• Provision, configure, and manage Azure resources throughout their life cycle.
• Implement and support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure incidents and service issues.
• Support Azure networking, identity, governance, and security frameworks.
• Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Support disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity capabilities.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver cloud solutions.
• Support cloud migrations, platform enhancements, and operational activities.
• Review and optimise cloud resource utilisation and costs.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best practice standards.

As a suitable Cloud Specialist, you will have:

• Proven experience in a Cloud Engineer, Azure Platform Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking (VNETs, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateway), Azure Monitor and Log Analytics, Azure Backup and Site Recovery, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and Azure Key Vault.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, and/or ARM Templates).
• Strong PowerShell Scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, identity, and access management principles.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale production environments.
• Desirable experience with AKS, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Container Apps, Microsoft 365, Intune, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Relevant Azure certifications such as AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500, or Terraform Associate are advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
