Interim Cost Consultant
Location: South West England
Rate: TBC
Contract: 6 - Months
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting NEC4 Project Managers to assess payment applications and negotiate compensation events
- Reviewing forecasts, defined cost, programme impacts and risk allowances, providing clear recommendations
- Monitoring project and programme-level financial performance, including cost reporting frameworks
- Tracking committed and forecast outturn costs, highlighting risks, trends and mitigations
- Providing cost forecasting and financial insight for business cases and programme reporting
- Strengthening commercial governance and sharing best practice across the wider team
About You:
- Strong NEC4 commercial knowledge (payment assessment, compensation events, cost review and governance)
- Confident producing clear recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Comfortable working across multiple projects and priorities
- Background in cost management / quantity surveying / commercial assurance within capital programmes
