Key Responsibilities:

Key Skills:

  • Strong experience as a Cost Manager, Cost Controller, or within Project Controls.
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with project controls tools.
  • Experience in infrastructure, utilities, engineering, or major capital projects.
  • Desirable experience includes wastewater or water projects, NEC contracts, Primavera P6, Power BI.

Cost Controller / Cost Manager wanted by a leading consultancy supporting a major Wastewater infrastructure programme across the North West. This offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile capital programme, with hybrid working from either Warrington or Preston. Note - this role is an Inside IR35 contract, and they are also open to permanent applications too.

This Cost Controller / Cost Manager role will see you working within a programme controls environment, delivering cost planning, forecasting and financial reporting across a portfolio of major infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for budget management, cost tracking and providing accurate reporting to support programme delivery.

As a Cost Controller / Cost Manager, you will manage project budgets, monitor spend against forecast, identify cost variances and support change control activities. This role will also see you working closely with Project Managers, Commercial and Finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective programme governance.

Cost Controller / Cost Manager requirements:

  • Strong experience as a Cost Manager, Cost Controller or within Project Controls
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting and cost reporting
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with project controls tools
  • Experience within infrastructure, utilities, engineering or major capital projects is essential
  • Experience supporting programme controls and governance

Desirable experience includes wastewater or water projects, NEC contracts, Primavera P6, Power BI, etc. This is an Inside IR35 contract opportunity, offering hybrid working with 3 days per week onsite in either Warrington or Preston.
