Summary: The role of Data Engineer/Analyst involves supporting data management implementation and improvement projects for a leading Defence organization. The position requires a combination of on-site and remote work, specifically three days in the Bristol office and two days remotely. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Data management implementation (e.g., network attached data containment)
  • Support the data improvement projects (e.g., site pages, documentation)
  • Ensure the control and management of the produced data within the operational domains
  • Support preparation of data governance guideline documents and other required communication materials

Key Skills:

  • Windows command line and Scripting
  • Data analytics (basic level) & reporting
  • Able to interact with many stakeholders and have a willingness to support others when needed
  • Agile and flexible in their approach and be able to work autonomously when required
  • Knowledge of Data Management processes (desirable)
  • Business Data Modelling skills (desirable)
  • Python programming (desirable)
  • Google workspace/sites management experience (desirable)

We are recruiting for a Data Engineer/Analyst on contract to work for a leading Defence organisation. The role will be based 3 days per week in their Bristol offices and 2 days remotely.

Data Management Engineer

The Activities/Tasks required:
Support Data management implementation (eg. network attached data containment)
Support the data improvement projects (eg site pages, documentation)
Ensure the control and management of the produced data within the operational domains
Support preparation of data governance guideline documents and other required communication materials.

Skills:
Essential (autonomous level):
Windows command line and Scripting
Data analytics (basic level) & reporting
Able to interact with many stakeholders and have a willingness to support others when needed
Agile and flexible in their approach and be able to work autonomously when required.

Desirable:
Knowledge of Data Management processes
Business Data Modelling skills
Python programming
Google workspace/sites management experience

Data management project, Documents and data in google drives.

Windows Command Line and Scripting.

Data Analytics knowledge.

Basic Programming of Windows/Python

IT skills are key
