Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for desk-side and walk-up support.
- Manage all aspects of the company’s IT support, including handling support tickets from logging to closure.

- Ensure timely resolution of technical issues and escalate tickets when necessary.
- Support high-pressure environments, including Traders and Executives.
- Manage desktop hardware and peripherals in a trade floor environment.

With their continued growth and onboarding new products, in line with new regulatory changes, they need a First Line Support Engineer to work on delivering high-quality customer service, managing technical support for IT systems, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will act as the first point of contact for desk-site and walk-up support. This role requires priorities to be based on user role and business impact, ensuring high responsiveness for critical users. You will manage all aspects of the company’s IT support, including working within the Support Team, handling support tickets from accurate logging to closure, escalating tickets when necessary, and ensuring timely resolution.
Responsibilities of this Desktop Support Engineer include working in close collaboration with front, middle and back office across all asset classes. The scope for this role includes all systems and processes covering the elements of end-user computing within the business. Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support to end-users in a trading environment, covering desktop, telephony, network, server, electronic trading, and market data technology.
As a Desktop Support Engineer working within this Energy Trading Firm, you will gain experience within this heavily regulated environment. Develop your pro-active approach to problem-solving, as well as building a strong sense of responsibility when under pressure in high-urgency situations.
