Rate is £650 per day and will be run via an umbrella company

About the Role

Are you a champion of agile delivery with a passion for cutting-edge technology? We are seeking a dynamic Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of high-impact Data and AI projects. From initial discovery through to live service, you will ensure our outcomes meet user needs, align with strategic organizational goals, and comply fully with government service standards.

In this role, you will champion the Delivery Excellence Framework, maintaining team momentum through robust risk management, cross-team coordination, and data-driven metrics. Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Delivery: Lead data and AI projects through the entire life cycle (Discovery to Live), ensuring compliance with government standards and strategic alignment.
• Team Leadership: Build, motivate, and maintain high-performing, multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Planning & Execution: Shape effective project and workstream delivery plans with clearly defined outcomes, milestones, deliverables, resources, costs, and timelines.
• Blocker Resolution: Proactively identify obstacles, manage complex dependencies, and clear the path so your team can focus on what matters most.
• Stakeholder Management: Communicate with absolute clarity, engaging stakeholders, managing expectations, and driving delivery by influencing both the team and the wider business.
• Governance & Discipline: Embed delivery discipline by adhering fully to planning, delivery, and reporting standards while tracking progress using effective metrics.
• Coaching & Mentoring: Guide team members and the wider organization in applying appropriate Agile, Lean, and DevOps ways of working.

Experience & Skills:

• Data & AI Expertise: Proven track record of successfully delivering Data and/or AI-focused products and services.
• Agile & Lean Leadership: Deep experience leading multidisciplinary teams using agile and lean practices to maintain momentum.
• Strategic Planning: Demonstrated ability to budget, resource, and map out complex delivery plans.
• Exceptional Communication: Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate technical progress into actionable business updates.

Certifications (One or more of the following at Practitioner Level):

• Prince2/APM PMQ (Project Management Qualification)
• AgilePM (APMG)
• Scrum Master (CSM or PSM)
• Or equivalent professional delivery certifications.
