Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Field Engineer to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of energy-related equipment and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will work closely with operations, engineering, and project teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient field operations while adhering to industry standards and health & safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on energy systems and field assets.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults, implementing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Carry out site inspections and technical assessments.
- Support project execution, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, industry regulations, and client standards.
- Prepare technical reports, service documentation, and maintenance records.
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Perform equipment performance testing and recommend process improvements.
- Participate in emergency response and on-call support when required.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with quality and safety procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–8+ years of field engineering experience within the energy, utilities, power, or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, generators, motors, or renewable energy systems.
- Experience with commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of field equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
- Understanding of HSE regulations and safe working practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work at client sites.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Utilities, Renewable Energy, or Oil & Gas.
- Knowledge of SCADA, PLCs, DCS, or industrial automation systems.
- Familiarity with CMMS tools (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo).
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA) are an advantage.
- Valid driving license.
