Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Golang.
- Build and enhance microservices supporting the global Loyalty & Benefits platform.
- Develop high-performance RESTful APIs and integrate asynchronous messaging services such as Kafka.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and software engineering best practices.
- Work closely with engineers across the platform to share technical knowledge and improve engineering standards.
Key Skills:
- Strong commercial experience as a Golang Engineer.
- Experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Solid experience with Git, Jenkins, PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience working with messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working within CI/CD environments.
- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing practices.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent commercial experience).
