Summary: The HR Services Team Lead will oversee a high-performing HR Services team within a dynamic HR function on a 6-month contract. This role focuses on delivering exceptional employee experiences while driving service excellence and supporting business transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of HR Advisors and Administrators, ensuring effective HR support across the employee lifecycle. Key responsibilities include managing operational performance, service delivery, and HR project implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of HR Advisors and Administrators.
- Plan, prioritise, and manage team workloads to ensure service levels and SLAs are consistently achieved.
- Monitor service delivery, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation plans.
- Manage first-line escalations relating to HR processes, policies, employee relations, and employment legislation.
- Oversee end-to-end payroll activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Support the successful delivery of HR projects and transformation initiatives.
- Lead by example, fostering a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
- Manage the performance, development, and engagement of approximately six direct reports.
- Produce and analyse weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Review, document, and continuously improve HR processes to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience leading or supervising HR or shared services teams.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience delivering against service level agreements (SLAs) and operational KPIs.
- Excellent understanding of HR policies, procedures, and UK employment legislation.
- Experience handling complex HR queries and employee relations issues professionally and confidentially.
- Strong knowledge of HR systems with the ability to extract, analyse, and report on data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Resilient and adaptable, with experience leading teams through periods of change.
- Degree or CIPD qualification is desirable.
