Key Responsibilities:
- Commission 132kV substation plant and equipment in accordance with approved commissioning procedures and client specifications.
- Carry out commissioning of AIS switchgear, including functional checks, interlocking verification, control and protection interface testing, and operational proving.
- Undertake primary and secondary injection testing, CT/VT polarity and ratio checks, wiring verification, and point-to-point testing.
- Perform SCADA, RTU and control system interface testing to support successful energisation.
- Review commissioning documentation, drawings, protection schematics and test schedules, identifying and resolving technical issues where required.
- Support outage planning, switching programmes and energisation activities in conjunction with the client and network control.
- Produce commissioning records, test documentation and handover packs in line with project and client requirements.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant safety rules, site procedures and permit systems.
