Organisations bring in HR Manager contractors to lead the HR function within an organisation or business unit, managing both the operational delivery of HR services and the team of HR professionals responsible for them. The role bridges the operational and strategic dimensions of HR: HR Managers ensure that the day-to-day HR processes run effectively, that employee relations matters are handled consistently and legally, that people data and reporting is accurate and timely, and that the HR team is appropriately developed and managed. At the same time, they are expected to partner with senior leaders on workforce planning, organisational effectiveness, and people strategy matters. Contractors are brought in to cover a vacancy, manage a period of significant HR activity, or provide interim HR leadership during a restructuring.
