Summary: The IT Infrastructure Engineer (Modern Workplace) will provide subject matter expertise during the discovery, design, implementation, and deployment phases of a program, collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role involves supporting deployment, creating documentation, and conducting knowledge transfer sessions to ensure a smooth transition to a new environment. The engineer will also contribute to current state analysis and design optimal solutions for various Microsoft technologies. Strong experience with Windows 11 and Microsoft Intune is essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of the deployment plan, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to end users.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation outlining configurations and processes.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to equip the internal IT team with necessary skills.
  • Contribute to discovery workshops for existing environments to inform the design process.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to design teams for Windows 11 migration and related technologies.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience with Windows 11 deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with SCCM/MECM and Group Policy.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune, including policy configuration and device management.
  • Familiarity with modern management principles and cloud-based device management.
  • Experience in repackaging applications for deployment via Intune.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Autopilot for device provisioning.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Understanding of Windows Hello for Business deployment and configuration.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Previous law firm experience is desirable.

IT Infrastructure Engineer (Modern Workplace) Role Overview:Reporting to the Program Technical Lead, the role will be responsible for providing subject matter expertise throughout the discovery, design, implementation, and deployment phases of the program. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to conduct current state analysis, design appropriate solutions, and support the seamless transition to the new environment. Additionally, you will be expected to deliver comprehensive documentation and provide knowledge transfer sessions to empower the internal IT team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deployment Support: Assist in the execution of the deployment plan, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions to end users. Providing remote support for deployment engineers in our clients offices.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation outlining configurations, processes, where required.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to equip the internal IT team with the skills and knowledge required to manage and support the new environment effectively.
  • Current State Analysis: Contribute to the discovery workshops for the existing environments to inform the design process.
  • Design Support: Provide subject matter expertise to design teams to develop optimal solutions for Windows 11 migration, Intune implementation, Autopilot adoption, mobile device migration, and Windows Hello for Business deployment.

Required Experience:

  • Extensive experience with Windows 11 deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with SCCM/MECM and Group Policy.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune, including policy configuration, application deployment, and device management.
  • Familiarity with modern management principles and best practices, including cloud-based device management and zero-touch provisioning.
  • Experience in repackaging applications for deployment via Intune.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Autopilot for device provisioning.
  • Previous involvement in migrating mobile devices from legacy MDM solutions to Intune.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
