IT Project Manager
Summary: The IT Project Manager role involves overseeing a variety of technology and business change projects within a busy IT portfolio on a 3-month contract basis. The position requires managing both new and ongoing projects, ensuring successful delivery through effective stakeholder engagement and resource coordination. The role is hybrid, based in West Lothian, and classified as inside IR35. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering complex IT projects and possess relevant certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of IT and business change projects.
- Take over existing projects and rapidly establish project status, risks, and priorities.
- Work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party suppliers.
- Manage project plans, governance, risks, issues, dependencies, and reporting.
- Coordinate Matrix-managed IT and business resources.
- Produce clear project documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Ensure projects are delivered to agreed scope, timescales, and quality standards.
Key Skills:
- Demonstrable experience delivering complex IT projects.
- PRINCE2 Foundation certification or higher.
- Proven experience managing projects using PRINCE2 methodology.
- Experience successfully taking over and delivering projects mid-life cycle.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
- Experience delivering projects across a range of technology platforms.
- Matrix resource management experience.
- Supplier management and ICT procurement experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to deliver a range of technology and business change projects within a busy IT portfolio.
Projects will vary in size and complexity, spanning both technical IT initiatives and broader business-focused change programmes. You may be assigned projects from initiation or be required to take ownership of in-flight projects, quickly assessing status, engaging stakeholders, and driving successful delivery.
