_____________________________________________________________________Job Title: Lecturer in Digital Media (full time) Faculty of Creative Industries
Permanent: 35 hours per week
Salary: From £41,838 - £50,359 per annum – (Those with TQFE start on £48,227) The successful candidate will be assigned to the Faculty of Creative Industries, Journalism & Communications Curriculum Team. You will chiefly teach vocational subjects across Media and Journalism at a variety of levels and to a diverse range of students. The main area of teaching will include digital content creation- video, podcasting and social media. There is a focus on developing students to be work ready with industry engagement, therefore we expect the successful candidate to actively engage with industry. As a professional member of the teaching staff of the College, you will be responsible for the preparation of lessons, the teaching of students and the assessment and verification of their work.

The ideal candidate will possess recent and relevant industry experience with skills from a digital content creation environment. A measurable record of application of the above areas would be welcomed.

The successful candidate will also have a working knowledge of post school education and of curriculum development at a national/higher level, and good skills in communication and working with others.
A relevant degree reflecting the curriculum and previous teaching and/or training experience is essential.
