Locum Childcare Solicitor

£50 - £60 per hour, depending on experience

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a capable Childcare Solicitor to join a well-respected local authority based in the North West on a locum basis for 3 - 6 months, with a likelihood for extension.

As Childcare Solicitor you will be confident in carrying your own caseload of care proceedings, as well as pre-proceeding matters. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Handing a full caseload of childcare matters, providing advice on all aspects of public law children's matters
  • Attending PLO and legal planning meetings
  • Drafting documents, including statements and threshold agreements
  • Non-accidental injury
  • Exclusion orders
  • Emergency protection orders

Office and court attendance is mandatory in Lancashire, but those offering flexibility around attendance will be considered.

The role can offer flexible working arrangements, and although full-time availability is desirable, candidates offering part-time availability may also be considered.
