Summary: Our client, a rapidly growing international business, is seeking a hands-on UK Payroll Specialist for a 6-month fixed-term contract. The role involves managing UK payroll operations, improving processes, and supporting critical payroll events such as salary reviews and bonus cycles. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end UK payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing
- Review and improve existing payroll processes, controls and documentation
- Support annual pay review implementation and subsequent payroll cycles
- Process payroll changes relating to promotions, leavers, new starters, benefits and commissions
- Work closely with HR, Reward and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy
- Support the administration of employee benefits
- Assist with payroll reconciliations, reporting and compliance requirements
- Partner with offshore payroll support colleagues to ensure efficient delivery
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention and improve payroll efficiency
- Provide expertise and support during key payroll events, including bonus payments
Key Skills:
- Proven UK payroll experience within a medium-to-large organisation
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, tax, pensions and statutory payments
- Experience handling complex payroll elements including commissions, bonuses and benefits
- Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Confident communicating with stakeholders at all levels
- Payroll systems experience essential (exposure to ADP, Cintra or similar platforms advantageous)
