Power BI Developer
Summary: The Senior Power BI Developer role focuses on leveraging SAP data to create scalable reporting solutions using Power BI. The position involves collaborating with business stakeholders and delivery teams to design reporting outputs and data models. This hands-on role requires ownership of the delivery process from requirements to deployment while guiding other developers. The contract duration is initially set for 6-9 months with a hybrid working arrangement in Leicestershire.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards in enterprise environments.
- Work with SAP ECC data for reporting purposes.
- Interpret and utilize SAP data structures and reporting tables.
- Design and build semantic models and curated reporting layers.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather and challenge business requirements.
- Take ownership of delivery from requirements through to deployment.
- Coordinate or support other developers in Front End reporting.

Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Power BI Developer with strong experience working with SAP data to support a broader reporting transformation programme.
This role will focus on building high-quality, scalable reporting solutions using Power BI, working closely with business stakeholders and existing delivery teams. You will play a key part in designing reporting outputs, shaping data models, and ensuring the delivery of effective, business-facing insights.
This is a hands-on role that also carries responsibility for owning delivery from requirements through to deployment, while supporting and guiding additional developers contributing to the reporting workstream.
Essential:
- Strong hands-on experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards in enterprise environments
- Proven experience working with SAP ECC data for reporting purposes
- Ability to interpret and work with SAP data structures and reporting tables
- Experience designing and building semantic models and curated reporting layers
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including gathering and challenging business requirements
- Experience taking ownership of delivery from requirements through to deployment
- Ability to coordinate or support other developers contributing to Front End reporting
Desirable:
- Experience with data engineering principles, including working with structured data pipelines
- Exposure to tools such as Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, or similar data platforms
- Experience working in SAP transformation or reporting programmes
- Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud or other SAP reporting tools
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments
