One of our government clients is looking for an experienced Project Assurance Officer - Project Support/PMO to join them for a 6 month contract. They are offering £375.00 per day INSIDE IR35.
Our client is based near Milton Keynes - commutable from Northampton, East Midlands, Bedford, Luton or Central London. They are offering hybrid working, with 3 days per week onsite.
This role is working in a Security Cleared environment. You will need to be SC or DV (developed vetting) cleared or eligible to undertake SC or DV Security Clearance.
Our client is seeking a results-driven Project Assurance Officer with experience supporting PMO functions in complex, regulated project environments.
Strong understanding of project and programme governance, assurance frameworks, financial controls, and delivery oversight. Proven ability to produce accurate reporting, maintain control documentation, and support compliance with organisational standards.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and the wider Office Suite for data analysis and reporting. A proactive, detail-oriented contractor who quickly adds value, works independently with minimal supervision, and collaborates effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Essential experience:
Demonstrable experience in a PMO or project support environment, ideally within technology, infrastructure, engineering, or public sector programmesWorking knowledge of project and programme governance processes, including assurance and control frameworksExperience supporting project financial management, including budget tracking, forecasting, and variance reporting
Understanding of project controls, including risk, issue, dependency, and change management (RAID)
Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced capability in Excel for reporting and analysisAbility to produce accurate, high-quality reports and maintain assurance documentation
Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while supporting multiple stakeholders
