Project Manager Contract (Data Loss Prevention)
Summary: The role of Project Manager focuses on leading a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) programme within a prominent organization in South Wales. The position emphasizes driving business change through the implementation of Microsoft Purview for document and email classification, while ensuring stakeholder engagement and effective communication. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end delivery, from planning to rollout, and will work closely with various teams to ensure smooth adoption of new data controls. This is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence a couple of days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of the DLP programme, from planning through to rollout
- Use data and insights from Purview to shape a targeted change and comms strategy
- Identify stakeholder impacts and drive engagement at all levels, including senior leadership
- Roll out classification, labelling, and DLP policies across M365 (email first, then mobile/endpoints)
- Partner closely with comms teams to deliver clear, effective messaging
- Ensure smooth adoption of new controls on data usage, email, and mobile applications
- Maintain strong governance and alignment with data protection standards
Key Skills:
- Proven Project Manager with experience in business change-focused delivery
- Background in data, security, compliance, or similar transformation programmes
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and gain buy-in
- Experience rolling out changes around data classification, retention, or usage controls
- Solid understanding of M365 environments
- Comfortable translating technical concepts into clear business impact messaging
