Summary: The Project Manager role is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract within the Business Change Team, focusing on delivering major organizational transformation projects in the public sector. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage large-scale, priority projects that support strategic priorities and organizational change
  • Build strong working relationships with senior stakeholders, subject matter experts, project teams, and external partners
  • Produce clear project plans, delivery timescales, milestones, outputs, and action trackers
  • Report to appropriate governance forums and provide clear visibility of progress, risks, issues, and decisions
  • Identify, record, manage, and escalate project risks and issues where required
  • Follow the organization’s Business Change Framework methodology and established ways of working
  • Administer and manage project processes, service project meetings, and associated documentation
  • Record and track project costs and benefits, supporting Finance Business Partners with budget monitoring
  • Support effective change management, continuous improvement, and the successful delivery of outcomes
  • Follow required organizational and supplier processes, policies, and governance requirements

Key Skills:

  • Substantial Project Management experience with evidence of successful delivery
  • Trained in PRINCE II and/or equivalent project management methodology
  • Knowledge of local government and particularly transformational Government and efficiency agenda
  • Relevant change management qualification or skills and experience (Prosci or similar)
  • Experience of using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, MS Project, MS Visio, PowerPoint

DUTIESYour duties as the Project Manager will include:

  • Project Delivery: Manage large-scale, priority projects that support strategic priorities and organisational change
