IBM ODM Developer

Werner Consulting Group LLC (WCG) is a Denver based IT consulting and placement firm. We have a client based in Denver looking for a FULL REMOTE developer for a IBM ODM project. Position starts off as a 6 month contract but will most likely extend beyond that.

An IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM) Developer designs, builds, and maintains business rule engines and decision services. They translate business policies into executable code using Decision Center and Rule Designer, integrate the rules into enterprise applications, and optimize decision tables for automated system execution.

Responsibilities

• Design & Authoring: Create rule projects, decision tables, decision trees, and business rule flows.
• Integration: Connect ODM decision services with enterprise applications (Java EE, Spring Boot) via REST/SOAP APIs in Google Cloud Platform environment.
• Collaboration: Partner with Business Analysts to ensure rule requirements are accurate and aligned with organizational policies.
• Testing & Deployment: Test, debug, and deploy decision services within the Decision Center and Rule Execution Server (RES) environments

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Core Languages: Strong proficiency in Java and J2EE technologies.
• ODM Experience: Minimum 5 10 years of hands-on experience with IBM ODM.
• Databases: Familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, SQL, Spanner), and Google Cloud environments.
• Tools: CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab), version control (Git, bitbucket), and Agile project management tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Methodology: Knowledge of ABRD (Agile Business Rule Development) methodology.
