Summary: The SAP DMC Solution / Enterprise Architect is tasked with defining the comprehensive manufacturing solution architecture, ensuring that business processes align with SAP Digital Manufacturing (DMC), SAP S/4HANA, and the overall integration landscape. This role encompasses solution architecture, integration architecture, data strategy, technology architecture, and non-functional architecture. The architect will also be responsible for establishing governance standards and ensuring compliance with security and performance requirements. Strong expertise in SAP systems and stakeholder management is essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the overall manufacturing solution architecture across SAP DMC, SAP S/4HANA, MES, and SAP BTP/Integration Suite (CPI).
- Design cloud, on-premises, and hybrid deployment models.
- Define enterprise integration patterns and architecture standards.
- Design integrations between SAP DMC and SAP S/4HANA modules (PP, MM, QM, EWM).
- Design integrations with SAP Ariba, SAP IBP, SAP PLM, and other enterprise applications.
- Define integration approaches using IDocs, APIs, OData services, and SAP CPI iFlows.
- Define master data replication strategies for Materials, Bills of Materials (BOM), Routings, Work Centers, and other manufacturing master data.
- Ensure data consistency and synchronization across all integrated systems.
- Establish master data governance standards and best practices.
- Recommend and define the use of SAP BTP services, including Integration Suite and Extension Suite.
- Evaluate and recommend custom development frameworks such as SAP UI5 and SAP CAP where required.
- Define architecture standards that support scalability, flexibility, and future enhancements.
- Design for high availability, scalability, and optimal system performance.
- Define security architecture, including SAP IAS, IPS, authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security and governance standards.
