Summary: The Senior Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting large-scale application development and enhancement initiatives within the education domain. This position requires advanced business analysis skills, acting as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The successful candidate will be responsible for requirements gathering, process improvement, and ensuring that solutions meet business objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, operational challenges, and system improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, surveys, document analysis, workflow analysis, and use case analysis.
  • Analyze existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend automation and process improvements.
  • Document current-state and future-state business processes.
  • Identify functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Produce clear, concise, and well-structured Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs), Software Requirements Specifications (SRS), User Stories, Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria, Business Rules, Process Flows, and Gap Analysis Documents.
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with established business analysis standards and best practices.
  • Maintain complete traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Evaluate current business workflows and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Recommend business process re-engineering initiatives.
  • Create workflow diagrams, process maps, and system interaction diagrams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across business operations.

Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support large-scale application development, modernization, and enhancement initiatives. The ideal candidate will perform advanced business analysis activities, working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, project managers, architects, developers, QA teams, and leadership throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

The Business Analyst will serve as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into functional and technical requirements. This role requires expertise in requirements gathering, process improvement, business process modeling, user story development, documentation, stakeholder facilitation, and change management.

The successful candidate will participate throughout the entire SDLC from requirements elicitation and analysis through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-production enhancements ensuring that delivered solutions meet business objectives and quality standards.
