Software Developer

Summary: The role of Software Developer involves shaping and supporting a suite of .NET, MS Access, and SQL Server applications for a public sector client. The position requires ownership of development and support tasks from investigation to delivery, with a preference for candidates holding active SC clearance. The role is fully remote and focuses on both server and desktop environments. Strong experience in various Microsoft technologies is essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and support .NET, MS Access, and SQL Server applications.
• Own development and support tasks from investigation through to delivery.
• Work across both server and desktop environments.
• Utilize SQL Server, including T-SQL, stored procedures, and user-defined functions.
• Implement advanced solutions using MS Access and VBA.
• Integrate MS Office applications within software solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues related to IIS and Windows Services.

Key Skills:

• Strong experience in .NET development (web and desktop).
• Solid background with SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Advanced MS Access experience, including VBA.
• Proficiency in C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Experience with Oracle and PL/SQL.
• Knowledge of web and data formats (HTML, JSON, XML, XPath, XSLT).
• Familiarity with IIS and production troubleshooting.

Salary (Rate): £500 daily
