Summary: The Software Engineer role is a contract position focused on building and maintaining reinforcement learning environments for backend programming tasks. The engineer will work remotely, utilizing languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or Rust, while ensuring high test coverage and collaborating with a distributed team. Responsibilities include writing backend services, conducting code reviews, and documenting technical decisions to enhance AI model quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain reinforcement learning environments for backend programming tasks.
• Write backend services and supporting code using Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or Rust.
• Develop thorough unit and integration tests to ensure high test coverage.
• Review code for correctness, performance, maintainability, and security.
• Solve programming tasks and document technical reasoning to improve AI model quality.
• Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team and document engineering decisions.

Key Skills:

• Strong relevant experience in backend software development using Java, Node.js, Go, or Rust.
• Proven experience in building scalable backend systems and APIs.
