SAP PI Consultant - Remote and Telford or Worthing - 6 months+
Summary: The SAP PI Consultant role requires expertise in SAP PI/PO integration development, with a focus on designing solutions based on functional requirements. The position is primarily remote but requires on-site presence in Telford or Worthing for two days a week. Key Responsibilities:
- Integration development using SAP PI, including ABAP proxies, IDOC's, and RFC's.
- Designing PI solutions based on functional requirements.
- Development of SOAP and REST APIs.
- Creation of Unit Test documents and other technical documentation.
- Liaison with functional and test teams to resolve issues.
- Leading the team and escalating problems as necessary.
- Completion of work within agreed timescales, cost, and quality criteria.
- Management and control of problems and changes as requested.
- Active participation in process improvement and compliance with quality processes.
Key Skills:
- SAP PI/PO 7.3 and SAP ABAP R/3.
- Hands-on development experience in PI Integration.
- Strong skills in SOAP, REST APIs, and OAS.
- Knowledge of other adapters such as File, JDBC, and IDOC.
- Experience in PI Interface Design/Configuration.
- ABAP Proxy Development.
- Development of APIs and User Defined Java Functions.
- Knowledge of SAP TRM, PSCD, CRM, FI, and HR models.
- Familiarity with UNIX, Webmethods, Microsoft Office, and SAP CTS+.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a SAP PI Consultant.
For this role you will need be onsite in Telford or Worthing 2 days per week.

Job Description:
Description and Location
Integration development using SAP PI including use of ABAP proxies IDOC's and RFC's. Experience in designing a PI solution based on a functional requirement is essential.
Excellent hands on experience working on SOAP and REST APIs .
Carry out development in accordance with agreed requirements and development standards.
Creation of Unit Test documents and other technical documents. Liaison with the functional and test teams to resolve issues arising from the build and testing.
Lead the team and promptly escalate problems, issues and risks as necessary.
Completion of work allocated within agreed timescales, and to cost and quality criteria, providing progress reports on assigned work as required.
Management and control of problems and change within a given area of responsibility as requested by the Team Manager
Playing an active part in process improvement, demonstrating awareness and compliance with all relevant quality processes and procedures, and the completion of all specified quality records.

Mandatory Technical Skills:
SAP PI/PO 7.3 and SAP ABAP R/3
PI Integration Hands on Development
Strong PI development skills using SOAP, REST APIs and OAS. Good knowledge about other adapters eg File, JDBC and IDOC
Desirable Technical Skills:
PI Interface Design/Configuration
ABAP Proxy Development
PI Interface development of APIs.
User Defined Java Functions
Knowledge of SAP TRM, PSCD, CRM, FI and HR models
UNIX, Webmethods, Microsoft Office and SAP CTS+ would be useful

This role location can be delivered from Worthing or Telford.
