Senior Systems Engineer (Kubernetes Platform) - Global SaaS

Shape how one of the world's biggest software companies builds and runs its cloud infrastructure - up to €123,000.

This isn't a keep-the-lights-on role. We're looking for a senior systems engineer to design, implement and operate Kubernetes-based infrastructure, consult with service owners across the business, and drive real change at scale - with AI tooling firmly part of the day-to-day.

What's in it for you:

• Attractive Annual Salary up to €123,000 doe
• 11-month contract with the possibility of extension + PAYE, paid weekly via Principle HR
• Location: Dublin, Hybrid working model, 2-3 days per week on-site

What you'll need:

• 5+ years in systems production engineering and infrastructure, with deep Linux knowledge
• 5+ years running Kubernetes in production (ideally CKA qualified), including architecture, security and policy agents
• Proficiency in software development - designing, authoring, testing and debugging in Python or Golang
• Hands-on cloud-native automation experience: Flux/Argo, Terraform, Helm
• Strong networking skills (ingress/egress, load balancing, DNS, TLS, firewalls)
• Experience integrating AI into engineering workflows, decision-making or problem-solving
• A proven track record of introducing new services at scale, plus strong communication and a collaborative mindset

A typical day might look like:

• Designing and operating Kubernetes infrastructure using current and future cloud-native capabilities
• Consulting with service owners on their engineering needs
• Building Python/Go, Ansible and Terraform automation to scale the platform
• Improving monitoring and alerting with Prometheus and Grafana
• Researching and introducing new open-source and commercial tools and methodologies
