Summary: The Skilled Aircraft Fitter role involves supporting aircraft wing assembly at a leading aerospace company in Filton. Key Responsibilities:

- Obtain 1st party certification following relevant training.
Key Skills:
- Time served engineering apprenticeship.
- NVQ Level 2&3 in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Willingness to work in confined spaces.
- Experience using hand tools in a fitter/assembly operator role.
- Ability to pass a BPSS check and pre-employment medical.

ABOUT THE CLIENT: Our client is a leading global name in aerospace, responsible for designing, manufacturing, and testing wings for some of the world’s most advanced aircraft. Their Filton site plays a vital role in the aerospace supply chain, supporting both commercial and military aviation sectors. Due to a growing pipeline of work, they are looking to recruit a number of Skilled Aircraft Fitters to support production operations for their A400M programme.
WHAT WILL THE SKILLED AIRCRAFT FITTER BE DOING? As an Aircraft Fitter, you’ll be based in the build production section supporting aircraft wing assembly. Your tasks will include working from engineering drawings, using power tools to drill, shim and seal, and ensuring all work meets the required standards. The role involves tank work, so working in confined spaces will be necessary. You will also be expected to obtain 1st party certification following relevant training.
