Soc Coordinator
Summary: The SOC Coordinator role involves supporting the Security Operations Centre (SOC) within a leading engineering and technology organization. The position requires a professional with experience in SOC leadership and cyber security governance to enhance operational resilience and cyber defense capabilities. The role includes coordinating daily operations, driving security improvements, and managing compliance activities. This is a 12-month contract with a potential extension, requiring UK Security Clearance eligibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deputising for the SOC Manager when required.
- Coordinating the ongoing maturity and development of cyber security capabilities.
- Delivering security working groups and tracking remediation activities through to completion.
- Supporting the resilience and effectiveness of a 24/7 security operations function.
- Assisting with SOC recruitment, onboarding and team development activities.
- Managing responses for audits, compliance reviews and assurance activities.
- Supporting cyber risk management, governance and security policy implementation.
- Coordinating security documentation, standards and operating procedures.
- Working closely with cyber security, infrastructure, risk and business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
- Providing oversight of security-related change activities and ensuring appropriate cyber due diligence has been completed.
Key Skills:
- Experience in SOC leadership roles such as SOC Team Lead, SOC Manager, or SOC Coordinator.
- Knowledge of cyber security governance and assurance.
- Familiarity with ISO27001 and security compliance frameworks.
- Understanding of risk management and risk treatment processes.
- Experience with vulnerability management principles and incident response processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- Ability to deliver security improvements within complex organizations.
- Experience in audit preparation and evidence gathering.
- Knowledge of security policies, procedures, and governance.

The Role
