The Role

As Videographer, you'll be responsible for filming high-quality social-first content across the UK.

Working closely with the Creative Producer and Executive Producer, you'll help translate creative ideas into engaging films that resonate across digital platforms.

You'll combine strong camera skills with practical problem solving, adapting quickly to changing circumstances while maintaining high production values.

You'll understand how to work efficiently with limited time, access and resources, delivering footage that gives editors everything they need to tell compelling stories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Film high-quality social-first video content across a variety of locations.
  • Work confidently with high-profile contributors, helping them feel comfortable and confident on camera.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Producer to realise creative treatments while adapting to the realities of each shoot.
  • Make informed decisions about camera movement, lighting, framing and audio to produce engaging content.
  • Capture high-quality audio using a range of microphones and recording equipment.
  • Adapt quickly to changing locations, schedules and production requirements.
  • Manage and maintain camera, lighting and audio equipment, ensuring kit is prepared and functioning ahead of shoots.
  • Ensure all media is safely backed up and transferred according to production workflows.
  • Work collaboratively with editors, ensuring footage is well organised and delivered efficiently.
  • Contribute creative ideas and technical solutions that improve the quality and impact of our content.

About You

You'll have experience filming social-first or documentary-style content and understand what makes engaging digital storytelling.

You'll also bring: Excellent camera operating skills and a strong understanding of composition, lighting and visual storytelling.

Experience working with professional camera, audio and lighting equipment.

Confidence filming in fast-paced, live and often unpredictable environments.

Strong communication skills and the ability to put contributors at ease.

A proactive, solutions-focused approach to production challenges.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

An understanding of social media platforms and how video content performs across them.

An interest in UK politics and current affairs.

A willingness to travel regularly across the UK.

A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
