Summary: The role of Zscaler/Network Consultant involves working with a large banking client to implement and support Zscaler solutions, including ZPA, ZIA, and ZDX. The position requires a thorough understanding of network architecture and security protocols, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and document issues effectively. The consultant will work in a hybrid model, spending 2-3 days a week in the London office, and will be classified as inside IR35. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to identifying improvements are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thorough understanding of Zscaler Proxy, its Architecture for ZPA, ZIA and ZDX.
  • Prior experience of deploying ZPA, ZIA and ZDX for Enterprises.
  • Prior experience of supporting ZPA, ZIA and ZDX for Enterprises - which includes Troubleshooting issues, documenting KBs, engagement with Vendor, Internal Engineering and other teams.
  • Clear understanding of Zscaler Client Connector (ZCC) packet captures and analysis.
  • Clear understanding of Certificates and cryptography.
  • Prior experience of handling DR and BCP exercises and review DR plans.
  • Proactive in thought process and be able to identify gaps and propose improvements.
  • Excellent in documentation, preparing and updating KOPs, KBs, FAQs and other operational documents.
  • Good understanding of SIEM products like Splunk, how to use them and run reports and customizing dashboards for meaningful representations.
  • Working knowledge of LAN, WAN, Data Networks and Server Datacentres.
  • Clear understanding of OSI Model and TCP/IP stack.
  • Network/Firewall experience and understanding of key concepts.
  • Assist with the creation and customization of monitoring dashboards.
  • Provide administration support on unix/windows Servers for remote access related issues and management.
  • Understand the full project life cycle and take ownership of project deliverables to ensure successful implementation and integration of configuration changes.
  • Produce FAQs/process improvement recommendations to reduce call volume.
  • Develop automation opportunities to reduce manual support responsibilities.
  • Good understanding of incident, problem, and change management workflow processes.
  • Good understanding of monitoring concepts and technologies.
  • Analysis and reporting of deployment status to various stakeholders in a presentable form.
  • Operational risk analysis and risk management with various application deployments from stability and user experience perspective.
  • Troubleshooting deployment issues (basic level on server and understanding of end user desktop issues with application install/uninstall).
  • Extensive experience in information security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
  • Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorisation and security.
  • Good working knowledge of current IT risks and experience implementing security solutions.
  • Clear understanding of Firewalls, Load balancers, WAF and its operations.
  • Proven record of thoroughness and diligence as any mistake can affect 150,000 end points.
  • Excellent communication skills to cater to internal DB clients, End User Computing engineering and incident resolver groups, and external vendor service teams.
