What does a customer success contractor do?

The role is most prevalent in SaaS, technology, and professional services businesses where recurring revenue is commercially critical and customer churn has a direct impact on business performance. Customer Success contractors are brought in to cover vacancies, provide additional capacity during periods of rapid customer growth, or to support a specific customer programme such as an onboarding initiative or a renewal campaign.
The skills expected of Customer Success contractors combine strong relationship management with a commercial understanding of what drives customer retention and expansion.
